UİB's 2024 Export Hits a Record High of $38.6 Billion
Foreks - The Uludağ Exporters' Associations (UİB), which is the second largest union in Turkey in terms of secretarial-based exports, recorded an export of 3 billion 651 million 549 thousand dollars in December 2024, reflecting a 9% increase. The total export amount for UİB in 2024 reached 38 billion 637 million 29 thousand dollars, marking a 6% increase compared to the previous year. Evaluating the figures, UİB Coordinator President Baran Çelik stated, "While the year 2024 has been challenging for the global economy, we witnessed a significant contraction in global demand. Nevertheless, our country has ended the year with an increase in exports. Our exporters undoubtedly played a significant role in this. As Uludağ Exporters' Associations, we are pleased to conclude 2024 with record exports."
The Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OİB) achieved exports totaling 3 billion 110 million 976 thousand dollars in December, while its total exports for 2024 were reported at 32 billion 330 million 397 thousand dollars, representing a 7% increase compared to the prior year.
The Uludağ Textile Exporters' Association (UTİB) recorded exports of 95 million 808 thousand dollars in December, bringing its total exports for 2024 to 1 billion 272 million 280 thousand dollars.
The Uludağ Ready-Made Clothing and Apparel Exporters' Association (UHKİB) reached an export of 56 million 101 thousand dollars in December, with a total export of approximately 862 million 945 thousand dollars for 2024.
The Uludağ Fruits and Vegetables Products Exporters' Association (UMSMİB) reported an export of 30 million 919 thousand dollars in December, achieving a total export of 312 million 71 thousand dollars in 2024, which is a 5% increase compared to the same month last year.
Lastly, the Uludağ Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Exporters' Association (UYMSİB) recorded an export of 12 million 664 thousand dollars in December, with a total of 206 million 496 thousand dollars in exports for 2024.
