Efficiency: Revolutionary new cabin design! Launched in 1996, the Mercedes-Benz Actros truck series has quickly become one of the favorite models of Mercedes-Benz Trucks with its ability to meet the needs of its customers and drivers in the best possible way. The new cabin, featuring an aerodynamic design extended by 80 mm, directs the airflow encountered at the front in the most efficient manner around the vehicle. To ensure optimized airflow, the aerodynamic design concept was completed with rubber parts used to separate the engine compartment from the external airflow, leaving almost no gaps or openings. As a result, the New Actros L achieves fuel savings of up to 3%. Mercedes-Benz Turkey further enhances the efficiency of the New Actros L model with the third-generation OM 471 diesel engine, which has a displacement of 12.8 liters. The focus for the New Actros L, designed for long-distance transportation, is to achieve the lowest possible fuel consumption. With the OM 471 diesel engine, the vehicle achieves fuel savings of up to 4% compared to the previous generation.
"The New Shape of Comfort" in Long-Distance Transportation: The New Actros L! Mercedes-Benz Turkey emphasizes that the New Actros L and its futuristic cabin design not only enhance efficiency and reduce total costs but also highlight that elements like the attractive exterior design and comfort of the driver cabin play a significant role in vehicle purchases. Offering numerous comfort features in the ProCabin interior, available in Stream, Big, or Giga Space versions, the New Actros L provides optimized seat heating, new premium Dinamica Star seat covers, wooden framed beds, and an Extra Premium Comfortable mattress for enhanced comfort. Among the new comfort features of the vehicle is a massage function for the driver's seat, which is activated via a function button on the tunnel side of the seat and automatically turns off after 10 minutes. The new LED ambient lighting provides a relaxing illumination in the interior, featuring both blue LED ambient night driving light and amber living area light, thus offering a better living atmosphere. It also serves as a directional light in the cabin during night driving.
Mercedes-Benz New Actros L: "The New Shape of Technology" Produced according to the General Safety Regulation (GSR Phase B), which will come into effect on January 1, 2025, the New Actros L model offers features beyond regulatory requirements:
Multi-lane tracking with Active Brake Assist 6 (ABA6) Described as an advanced version of ABA 5, ABA 6 offers an enhanced observation area of 270 degrees with additional radar sensors at the headlight and front fender areas of Mercedes-Benz trucks and tractors. In addition to the expanded monitoring range, Mercedes-Benz Turkey engineers have managed to extend the response to moving pedestrians and cyclists up to a speed range of 60 km/h. As a result, vehicles can respond to pedestrians crossing the street or those walking in the same lane with automatic full braking (emergency braking). The new generation trucks, equipped with the pedestrian and bicycle detection feature, stand out as a distinguishing safety feature, especially for vehicles operating within cities.
Offering both comfort and aesthetics, along with improved technological equipment, Mercedes-Benz trucks provide a two-stage warning system to the driver when detecting a cyclist, vehicle, pedestrian, or any object on either side. The system is also equipped with braking capabilities to prevent potential collisions beyond regulatory requirements.
Mercedes-Benz Turkey will continue to maintain the success of the Mercedes-Benz Actros L model in its segment and its leadership in the industry through its strong dealership network serving across Turkey.
