Which Stocks Gained the Most on Borsa Istanbul Today?

The BIST 100 index continued its upward trend today. After starting positively, the index accelerated its rise following the December inflation figures, which came in below expectations. During the day, the index reached as high as 10,097 points and is currently trading around the 10,080 point range with a 1.2% increase as it approaches the close.

Today, the sectors that stood out in Borsa İstanbul included sports, which rose by 6%, transportation with a 3% increase, and communication, which climbed by 2%. The sectors that underperformed in the market today were insurance, mining, and information technology.

The five best-performing stocks in the BIST 100 today were:

• IEYHO
• TMSN
• YEOTK

Conversely, the stocks with the largest declines in the BIST 100 today were:

• LIDER
• SMRTG
• TURSG
• ANSGR
• MAVI

Overall in Borsa İstanbul, alongside TSPOR, EGGUB and HEDEF were among the top gainers today. HTTBT, AGESA, and PEHOL shares were the biggest losers.

In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL is flat at 35.34. The Euro/TL is trading at 36.46, following a half-point increase, while the gram gold saw a slight decrease of 0.15%, trading at 3,015 TL.

In international markets, Asian indices closed the week on a mixed note. European indices were moving negatively towards the close, while US indices opened with gains.
