Stournaras Anticipates 100 Basis Points Rate Cut from ECB by Autumn
Forex - Yannis Stournaras, a member of the European Central Bank's Governing Council and the Governor of the Bank of Greece, stated that he expects the ECB's main interest rate to decrease to 2% by autumn. In an interview with Skai, Stournaras said, "We have moved from 4% in June to currently 3%. Unless there are unexpected circumstances, I expect another 100 basis points." Referring to risk factors in Europe and America, Stournaras noted that this prediction is subject to "unforeseeable conditions."
