Standard Chartered Predicts China Will Achieve 5% Growth Target in 2024

Forex - Standard Chartered economists have raised China's economic growth forecast for 2024 from 4.8% to 5.0%, while also expressing their expectation that the country will meet its official growth target for this year. Experts, referring to recent optimistic data, including surveys measuring China's manufacturing and service activities, noted that the growth momentum continued in December. Additionally, they estimated that the Chinese economy grew by 5.3% in the October-December period compared to the previous forecast of 4.8%.
