Tesla's Sales Decline on an Annual Basis for the First Time
Tesla delivered 1.78 million vehicles in 2024, falling short of analysts' expectations of 1.8 million and the 1.8 million deliveries in 2023. This marks the first year-over-year decline in sales for Tesla. The decrease signals potential challenges due to new competition, demand issues, and adverse global economic conditions affecting the company. In the fourth quarter, Tesla announced global deliveries of 495,930 vehicles, which exceeds the 463,000 delivered in the third quarter and the 484,500 from a year earlier. However, it still fell short of analysts' estimates of around 510,400.
