Environmental Impact Assessment Process Initiated for OYAK Cement's Marble Quarry Capacity Expansion Project
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has begun regarding the capacity increase project for the marble quarry planned by OYAK Cement. An announcement made on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Supervision provided the following information:
"The application file submitted to our Ministry concerning the capacity increase and the addition of the crushing and screening facility for the marble quarry numbered S:68997 (ER:2550939), planned by OYAK CEMENT FACTORIES INC. in Belevi District, Çal, Denizli Province, has been reviewed in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation. It has been determined that the application is in compliance with the EIA General Format, and the EIA process related to the project has been initiated. Until the Environmental Impact Assessment process is completed, all information related to the process and opinions, questions, and suggestions concerning the project can be sent to the Denizli Governorship (Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change) or the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change."
