Doğan Trend Group Appoints Uğur Sakarya as Deputy General Manager of Automotive Brands

Doğan Trend Automotive, which includes automotive, motorcycle, and marine engine distributions, as well as retail sales and used vehicle operations, has decided to transition to a more focused structure to strengthen its corporate framework. In this context, Uğur Sakarya, who served as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Retail Operations, Car Rental, and Suvmarket, has been appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Automotive Brands within Doğan Trend Group.

Uğur Sakarya, who has been in charge of Retail Operations, Car Rental, and Suvmarket at Doğan Trend Automotive since 2021, has been assigned to his new role as Deputy General Manager of Automotive Brands at Doğan Trend Group. With significant positioning in the automotive market due to its portfolio of brands, Doğan Trend Automotive aims for a management structure that is closer to the field and more focused with this appointment. Uğur Sakarya, with 25 years of automotive experience, will also be responsible for sales, marketing, and after-sales service operations of the MG, Suzuki, and Maxus brands under Doğan Trend Automotive.

Uğur Sakarya is a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department of ITU and transitioned into the automotive sector in 2000 with Tofaş (IS:TOASO) after starting his career as an engineer. He continued his career as Deputy General Manager at Otokoç Automotive in 2011, General Manager at Borusan Oto in 2014, and General Manager of BMW-MINI Turkey in 2018. In 2019, he gained entrepreneurial and e-commerce experience as the Founding General Manager of VavaCars. He served as the General Manager of Otomol from 2020 to 2021. Since 2021, Uğur Sakarya has held the position of Deputy General Manager responsible for Retail Operations, Car Rental, and Suvmarket at Doğan Trend Automotive.
