Bloomberg HT Consumer Confidence Index Reaches a High of 78.00 in 2024
The Bloomberg HT Consumer Confidence Index increased by 8.35% in December, reaching a value of 78.00, the highest level for 2024, compared to the final index of the previous month.
Details of Bloomberg HT's study are as follows: "Looking at the details of the index, there is an improvement in consumers' perceptions of the current situation, expectations for the next 12 months, and consumption trends. The positive performance in financial markets, particularly in stock markets, developments in Syria, and the rise in consumption trends seem to be the main reasons for the increase in consumer confidence. In this context, the Bloomberg HT Consumer Expectation Index increased by 15.82% compared to the previous month, reaching a value of 75.67. On the other hand, the Bloomberg HT Consumption Trend Index, which attempts to measure the suitability of the current period for purchasing durable goods, automobiles, and housing, also rose by 4.62% to a value of 87.30. The persistent increase in consumption trends in recent months raises the possibility that expected domestic demand slowdown in the fight against inflation may not be sufficiently strong."
