BOTAŞ Maintains Current Wholesale Natural Gas Prices

Foreks - The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) reported that there will be no changes to the wholesale natural gas sales prices effective January 1st.

In a statement from BOTAŞ, it was noted that the organization determines the wholesale natural gas sales prices at the most reasonable levels based on market conditions, the country's economic conditions, market price stability, decisions by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority regarding tariffs, and changes in the cost components of procurement and operating expenses.

The statement further mentioned, "In this context, there has been no change in the Wholesale Natural Gas Sales Prices effective January 1, 2025."

BOTAŞ indicated that based on the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI) prices, Turkey has the lowest natural gas prices among European countries after Ukraine.
