"Positive Environmental Impact Assessment Decision Granted for Entek Elektrik's Eren Wind Farm and Energy Storage Project"
Foreks - A decision of "Positive Environmental Impact Assessment" has been granted for the Eren Wind Farm and Electricity Storage Facility project planned by Entek Elektrik.
In a statement released on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment Permission and Supervision, the following information was provided:
"The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report submitted to our Ministry regarding the EREN WIND FARM (10 Turbines - 60 MWm/55 MWe) and ELECTRICITY STORAGE FACILITY (55 MWh/55 MWe) project planned by ENTEK ELEKTRİK ÜRETİMİ A.Ş. within the borders of Yenibektaşlı, Kındıralak, Güneş, and Erdoğan Villages in Gürün district of Sivas province has been reviewed and evaluated by the EIA Report Evaluation Commission. According to Article 14 of the EIA Regulation, taking into account the Commission's work and public opinions, our Ministry has granted a "Positive Environmental Impact Assessment" Decision; this decision must be announced to the public by the Sivas Governorship (Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change). Furthermore, compliance with the provisions of the relevant regulations arising from the Environmental Law No. 2872, as well as obtaining the necessary permits from the relevant institutions/organizations in accordance with the existing legislation, is required concerning the final EIA report and the matters specified in its annexes."
