Competition Authority Fines Kadıoğlu Stationery 7.43 Million TL

The Competition Authority has imposed an administrative fine of 7.43 million TL on Kadıoğlu Kırtasiye. It was decided that Kadıoğlu Kırtasiye Pazarlama Ticaret AŞ violated Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition, and thus an administrative fine should be imposed on the company.

The statement mentioned the following: “It has been found that there is no information or documentation indicating that Kadıoğlu Kırtasiye Pazarlama Ticaret AŞ breached the Law No. 4054 by establishing resale prices of its resellers; therefore, there is no need to impose an administrative fine for this type of violation.

However, it has been determined that Kadıoğlu Kırtasiye Pazarlama Ticaret AŞ violated Article 4 of Law No. 4054 by restricting the internet sales of resellers.

Consequently, an administrative fine of 7,432,445.61 TL has been imposed on Kadıoğlu Kırtasiye Pazarlama Ticaret AŞ, in accordance with the provisions of the third paragraph of Article 16 of Law No. 4054, and the first, second paragraphs, and the subparagraphs (c) and (d) of the first paragraph of Article 5 of the Regulation on Administrative Fines for Agreements and Actions that Restrict Competition and Abuse of Dominant Position, based on the gross revenue of the year 2023. This reasoned decision can be challenged in the Administrative Courts of Ankara within 60 days from the notification date.”
