The Transition Period for All General Lighting Meters to OSOS Has Been Extended by One Year
Foreks - The transition period for all general lighting meters to the Automatic Meter Reading System (AMRS) has been postponed by one year.
The "Regulation on Amendments to the General Lighting Regulation," prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, has been published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the process of including all general lighting meters within the scope of AMRS, with the exception of those deemed incompatible with AMRS as a result of evaluations to be conducted by TEDAŞ regarding communication infrastructure, will be completed by December 31, 2025. Previously, the deadline was set for today.
In the same regulation, the clause stating that "Payments for the consumption costs of meters that cannot be monitored in real-time and/or online by TEDAŞ shall not be made" has also been rescheduled to take effect on January 1, 2026.
