Russia Raises Military Expenditures to Record Levels

Kremlin has signed new budget plans that will increase military spending to record levels for 2025 in order to win the war in Ukraine. According to the budget published on the government's website, approximately 33% of the budget is allocated for defense. This figure of 3.5 trillion rubles (around £26 billion) represents a 28.3% increase compared to previous defense expenditures. Officials from both houses of the Russian Parliament, the Federation Council and the State Duma, approved the plan.
