We expect to surpass the target of 60 million visitors in Turkey. Evaluating the year 2024 from a travel perspective, ENUYGUN's Trade Director Orkun Özkan stated, "According to data released by the United Nations, the number of international tourists in 2024 has approached the pre-pandemic period closely, increasing by 96% and reaching a significant level. This year has been a time when we have come very close to pre-pandemic levels. In addition to this threshold that has been crossed for Turkey, we also expect to exceed the targeted 60 million visitors. According to TÜİK data, the domestic air passenger numbers reached their highest level in 2018. However, due to the pandemic, there was a decline in the following years, and only in 2023 did we reach 80% of that high level. We expect 2024 to also conclude at similar levels. Due to this decrease in seat availability, especially during holidays and festive periods, it has been quite difficult to find seats on many routes. Conversely, a different scenario occurred in international flights. In 2024, many foreign airlines began flights to Turkey, while domestic airlines increased their international flights as well. We expect our local airlines to grow in international markets by 15-20% compared to 2023. Another important issue in international flights has been the visa difficulties encountered. In 2024, the demand for places where our users faced visa issues decreased by 13%. Routes offering ease with visas on arrival, such as the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Balkans, were more prominent in 2024."
