The Minister of Industry and Technology, Fatih Kacır, referred to the acquisition of Piaggio Aerospace by Baykar as an indication of the level of success achieved in the global arena. In a statement regarding the news, "The Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has approved the sale of the aviation company Piaggio Aerospace to Baykar," Minister Kacır said: "The acquisition of the 140-year-old Italian aviation company Piaggio Aerospace by our national pride Baykar is also a reflection of the level of success Turkish aviation and Baykar have reached in the global league. This collaboration will also serve to strengthen the bonds of friendship and economic relations between Turkey and Italy."
