In line with its approach that places sustainability at the center of its development strategy, IC Holding shared its 2023 Sustainability Report, which compiles the environmental, social, and economic impacts of its operations.

The 2023 Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and independently audited for both environmental and social data, includes examples of good practices related to sustainability, future plans, initiatives participated in, and strategies from 12 group companies and 2 projects operating in the construction, energy, tourism, infrastructure, industry, and real estate sectors. IC Holding CEO Çaka: “We will strengthen our commitment to sustainability”

In his evaluation of the 2023 Sustainability Report, IC Holding CEO Can Çaka stated, “As IC Holding, we work with a strong sense of responsibility to create a positive impact on society and the environment while conducting our business activities and relationships. We take responsibility in areas that require development in Turkey and around the world, putting our hands under the stone. We focus on leaving a more livable world for future generations by supporting development in every area where we operate. For this reason, we published our second sustainability report under the theme 'The Impact of Development.' In the first report, we outlined our short, medium, and long-term goals towards 2030. This report encompasses the progress we have made on our sustainability journey and the new projects we have added. We want to build a better future by collaborating with all our stakeholders, from our suppliers to our customers. We are determined to advance the understanding of sustainability, which has become an integral part of our corporate culture. With our efforts in this area, we aim to reduce our environmental impacts and achieve long-term success.”

Roadmaps to reduce carbon emissions are being developed

Prioritizing the fight against the climate crisis and transitioning to a low-carbon economy, IC Holding has initiated projects to create low-carbon roadmaps for all group companies. Work is ongoing in energy audits, the conversion of vehicles to electric/hybrid, and the procurement of electricity from renewable sources.

As a result of all its evaluations, IC Holding aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 27% by the year 2030, based on the baseline year of 2022. The group will continue to produce projects and develop activities that support a circular economy in 2025, focusing on its four sustainable development goals: 'Gender Equality', 'Decent Work and Economic Growth', 'Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure', and 'Climate Action'.
