Akfen Electricity's Van Solar Power Project's Environmental Impact Assessment Report Open for Review
The Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the Van Solar Power Plant project planned by Akfen Electricity has been opened for public review.
In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection, the following information was provided:
"In the EDREMİT (GÜMÜSDERE) district of VAN Province, the Environmental Impact Assessment Report prepared for the project involving the VAN SOLAR POWER PLANT (66 MWm / 50 MWe - 73.62 ha) and the ELECTRIC STORAGE FACILITY (50 MWe / 120 MWh) planned by AKFEN ELECTRICITY WHOLESALE INC. has been examined and finalized by the Review and Evaluation Commission (İDK). The report has been opened for public opinions and suggestions for a period of ten (10) calendar days in accordance with Article 14 (1) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation at the Ministry and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change. The opinions submitted to the Ministry/Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change will be taken into account in the decision-making process regarding the project. During this process, opinions and suggestions can be submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change or the VAN Provincial Directorates of Environment and Urbanism."
