RENEWAL - Akfen Renewable Energy's Sarıtepe Solar Power Project Commences Production

Foreks - Akfen Renewable Energy has begun commercial energy production at the Sarıtepe Hybrid Solar Power Plant (HSPP) project in Osmaniye, with an installed capacity of 3.95 MW, which is the first phase of the total 12.9 MW project. Aiming to reach a total installed capacity of 887 MW by the end of 2025, the company continues to contribute to Turkey's renewable energy capacity by enhancing energy efficiency through hybrid energy projects.

Akfen Renewable Energy (IS:AKFYE), one of the leading companies in Turkey's domestic and renewable energy investments, is accelerating its strategic steps in hybrid energy projects. The first phase of the Sarıtepe HSPP, which has a total capacity of 12.96 MW and was implemented by its subsidiary İmbat Enerji A.Ş. in Osmaniye, has commenced commercial energy production with a capacity of 3.95 MW.

The project, temporarily accepted in accordance with regulations by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey on December 26, 2024, stands out as an important step in strengthening Turkey's energy supply security.

TARGETING 887 MW CAPACITY BY THE END OF 2025 Akfen Renewable Energy continues its investments in the first phase hybrid HSPP and wind power plant (WPP) projects, targeting a total capacity increase of 188 MW. In this context, as of December 26, 2024, the company has reached a total green and renewable installed capacity of 703 MW through renewable energy plants operated by its subsidiaries. With the completion of these planned investments, Akfen Renewable Energy aims to reach approximately 887 MW of capacity by the end of 2025, contributing to both the sustainable growth of the company in the energy sector and the increase of Turkey's renewable energy capacity.
