All Passenger and Light Commercial Models Under Stellantis Support HVO Diesel Fuel

Foreks - Stellantis continues to invest in innovative and clean energy sectors. All Stellantis passenger and light commercial vehicles support the use of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil-Based Diesel (HVO), known as "Eco-Friendly Diesel." HVO Diesel offers the same performance as traditional diesel fuel but is derived from renewable sources such as vegetable and animal fats. All passenger and light commercial models under the Stellantis umbrella, including Euro 5 and Euro 6, support HVO diesel fuel. This allows this environmentally friendly and pioneering fuel technology to cater to a wide range of products while presenting future clean energy technologies today. Offering unique and innovative solutions in both passenger and commercial vehicles, Stellantis announced that all cars and light commercial models in its product range are fully compatible with Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil-Based Diesel, an eco-friendly alternative to traditional diesel fuel. Known as "Eco-Friendly Diesel," HVO Diesel provides the same performance as traditional fuel and brings a much more innovative and environmentally friendly approach to Stellantis. Supporting a broad product range, including Euro 5 and Euro 6, HVO Diesel is entirely produced from vegetable and animal fats. HVO Diesel is a biofuel made from renewable raw materials such as vegetable, animal, and waste oils. The hydrogenation process used to produce HVO results in a fuel with significantly reduced aromatic compounds and lower pollution rates, producing a sulfur-free fuel. Hence, HVO Diesel stands out as a much cleaner and eco-friendly alternative. Thanks to this significant development, HVO Diesel can be used in most current Stellantis Group vehicles with Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines that feature the "XTL" label at the fuel tank entrance. Additionally, some Euro 6 diesel vehicles without XTL, equipped with 1.3 MultiJet, 1.6 MultiJet, 2.0 Multijet, 2.2 MultiJet, 3.0 V6 MultiJet, new 2.2 MultiJet, and 2.3 MultiJet (F1A – Fiat Ducato) engines, become fully compatible with HVO Diesel. With all these environmentally friendly and innovative efforts, Stellantis not only leads the mobility of the future but also continues its commitment to regularize the use of eco-friendly diesel fuel, protecting the environment and providing sustainable options that meet the needs of its customers.
