Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the official opening of the Kahta-Eceler section of the Kahta-Siverek Road will take place on December 28. Minister Uraloğlu stated that 27 kilometers of road, 2 double bridges, and 2 overpasses have been constructed in this section, adding, "When the project is completed, travel time will be reduced to 25 minutes. We will save a total of 953 million lira annually."

Minister Uraloğlu also provided information about the ongoing works on the Kahta-Narince-Siverek Road. Reminding that the road is planned to be 40.8 kilometers long, Minister Uraloğlu said, "We previously completed the Nissibi Bridge on the route and opened it to traffic along with the 2.6-kilometer connection road. On December 28, we will also hold the official opening of the 27-kilometer section at Kahta-Eceler."

Regarding the work done on the Kahta-Narince-Siverek Road, Uraloğlu indicated, “We are working on converting a 38.2-kilometer section into a hot mix asphalt divided road, as well as completing the wear-level finishing of the previously completed 2.6-kilometer section. In addition to the 27-kilometer section, we have also completed 2 double bridges totaling 656 meters in length and 2 overpasses of 60 meters each.”

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the current road operates at a length of 52 kilometers, saying, "With the completion of the project, the distance between Kahta and Siverek will be shortened by 11.2 kilometers. Travel time will decrease from 55 minutes to 25 minutes. We will save a total of 953 million lira annually, with 706 million lira from time savings and 247 million lira from fuel, and we will reduce carbon emissions by 18 thousand tons."

Uraloğlu mentioned that the existing landslide-prone sections of the road will be abandoned due to this road, thereby increasing traffic safety. Emphasizing that the Kahta-Siverek Road will provide a more comfortable travel opportunity for drivers, Uraloğlu noted, "In a region where transportation infrastructure is strong, both the development of trade and the revival of tourism is inevitable. This is not just an infrastructure project; it is also an initiative that directly contributes to the quality of life of our citizens."
