Ministry: No Plans to Require Documentation for Cash Deposits or Withdrawals at Banks

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced that there is no plan to initiate a requirement for supporting documents when depositing or withdrawing cash from banks.

The statement from the Ministry indicated: "The Presidency of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board continues its efforts to combat the unregistered economy, the laundering of criminal proceeds, and the financing of terrorism with diligence and sensitivity. While a decrease in cash usage in economic activities is a desirable situation in this regard, there is no plan to require supporting documents for cash deposits or withdrawals from banks starting from January 1, 2025."
