Erdogan: Our Sole Aim is to Strongly Establish Peace and Stability in Every Inch of Our Region's Land

In his speech at the AK Party Group Meeting of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), President Erdoğan stated, “Our sole aim is to ensure that peace, tranquility, and stability is achieved strongly in every inch of our region, starting from Syria. For others, the security and tranquility of Syria may come second. We do not have the luxury of that with a country with which we share a 910-kilometer border.”

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated in the AK Party Group Meeting of TBMM and delivered a speech. In his address, he emphasized that ISIS is a threat that needs to be eradicated not only for Western countries but also for Syria, Iraq, and Turkey, saying, “Turkey is the only NATO ally that is fighting head-to-head against this savage structure. Therefore, no one can give us lessons on this matter or draw borders over us. Our sole aim is to ensure that peace, tranquility, and stability is achieved strongly in every inch of our region, starting from Syria. For others, the security and tranquility of Syria may come second. We do not have the luxury of that with a country with which we share a 910-kilometer border. The quicker Syria can rise and recover, the faster our brothers longing for their homeland will voluntarily return.”
