ESK: Our Supply of Meat to the Market Continues Uninterrupted, No Supply Issues Are at Play

The Meat and Milk Board (ESK) has reported that the supply of meat to the market continues uninterrupted and there are no issues related to product supply. ESK made a statement in response to news articles claiming that "due to the New Year holiday in European countries, ESK would be unable to maintain its meat supply from abroad."

In the statement, it was noted, "Our institution is taking necessary measures to ensure supply security and price stability in red meat." The statement continued: "As part of our regulatory efforts aimed at regulating and balancing the meat and milk markets, we continue to supply meat to the market without interruption.

In order to prevent exorbitant price increases, our institution will carry out the slaughter of 15,000 cattle by January 15, 2025, including live slaughter animals available at TİGEM enterprises as well as procured live slaughter animals, and the fresh carcass meat obtained from these slaughtered animals will be delivered to PERDER member markets, butchers, and meat industrialists at reasonable prices. There are no issues regarding the supply of products to the market."
