Russia Continues to Target Ukraine's Energy Infrastructure

The Ukrainian Air Force indicated that Kharkiv was targeted with ballistic missiles, and regional governor Oleh Syniehubov stated via the Telegram messaging app that "civilian infrastructure outside residential areas was damaged." Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak also made a statement on Telegram: "Since this morning, the Russian army has been launching massive attacks on the Dnipro region. They are trying to destroy the region's energy system." Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko stated on Facebook that Russia is conducting "massive attacks on the energy sector," and the transmission system operator has imposed restrictions on electricity supply to minimize the impact. According to Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian resistance in Mykolaiv, the attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region targeted the thermal power plant in Zelenodolsk, resulting in a large fire. He also added that heating has been cut off in various areas of Kharkiv following explosions.
