Ministry of Agriculture: The Harshest Measures Will Be Applied to Speculators
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry stated that businesses attempting to rapidly increase their prices following the determination of the minimum wage will be closely monitored, and the harshest measures will be applied to opportunists.
The ministry announced that after determining the minimum wage to be implemented in 2025, businesses that unjustly raise prices for essential food items such as vegetables, fruits, meat, and dairy products under the pretext of increased labor costs will be closely tracked in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade.
In a statement made by the ministry, it was emphasized that a strong and resolute fight will continue against those aiming to manipulate the market with artificial fluctuations by significantly raising prices.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated, "During this process, in coordination with our Ministry of Trade, we will carry out all necessary inspections to ensure market order and protect the rights of our consumers, and we will impose the heaviest sanctions against those applying exorbitant prices."
