The Number of Cryptocurrency Investors in South Korea Surpasses 15 Million

According to data from ChainCatcher, the number of cryptocurrency investors in South Korea reached 15.59 million by the end of November, an increase of 610,000 compared to October, accounting for over 30% of the total population. Investor assets also showed a dramatic increase. The total market capitalization reached 102.6 trillion won (70.3 billion USD) in November, doubling from 58 trillion won (39.7 billion USD) in October. Meanwhile, the average asset amount per person rose from 3.87 million won (2,655 USD) in October to 6.58 million won (4,777 USD) in November. Deposits in cryptocurrency exchanges also doubled, increasing from 4.7 trillion won (3.2 billion USD) in October to 8.8 trillion won (6.03 billion USD) in November, indicating rising investor interest. The average daily trading volume in November reached 10.2 billion USD, rivaling the combined activity of the KOSPI (6.8 billion USD) and KOSDAQ (4.7 billion USD) markets. This represents a significant increase compared to the daily average of 3.4 trillion won (2.3 billion USD) in October.
