2025 Figures Set for Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV)

Forex - The figures for the Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) for the year 2025 have been determined. The "General Communiqué on Motor Vehicle Tax" from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, as of January 1, 2025, the taxation of motor vehicles has been reassessed based on the revaluation rate of 43.93% for the year 2024.

Motor vehicles such as automobiles, vans, off-road vehicles, and similar vehicles, as well as motorcycles registered and recorded after January 1, 2018 (inclusive), will be taxed according to the tariff specified in (I). Motor vehicles other than those specified in tariffs (I) and (I/A), including automobiles, off-road vehicles, vans, and similar vehicles as well as motorcycles, will be taxed according to the tariff specified in (II).

Aircraft and helicopters (excluding those belonging to Türkkuşu and the Turkish Aeronautical Association) will be taxed according to the tariff specified in (IV). Motor vehicles such as automobiles, vans, off-road vehicles, and similar vehicles registered and recorded before December 31, 2017 (inclusive), will be taxed according to tariff (I/A) as regulated in the temporary Article 8 of Law No. 197.
