In a statement released on Monday, Hesai Group also shared its future production goals, indicating that it expects the company’s annual production capacity to exceed 2 million units by 2025. The company’s stock performance has been strong, with a 52% increase in value from the beginning of the year to the last close. Lidar, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a critical technology used in the development of autonomous vehicles. This technology allows vehicles to perceive their surroundings with high accuracy by emitting light waves and measuring the reflections.
