Turkey's LPG Imports Increased by 5.29% in October
In October 2024, LPG imports conducted by refinery and distributor license holders amounted to 294,208 tons, representing a 5.29% increase compared to the same month of the previous year. The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) published the "LPG Market Sector Report" for October.
According to the import rankings for that month, LPG was imported from seven different countries: Algeria, the USA, Norway, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and the UAE.
In October 2024, the total LPG production by refinery license holders decreased by 14.64% compared to the same month last year, totaling 74,897 tons. Meanwhile, LPG exports by refinery and distributor license holders dropped by 20.79% year-on-year to 37,996 tons.
Based on export rankings for October, LPG exports were made to nine different countries/regions: Lebanon, Switzerland, Germany, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, the UAE, and Turkey.
- Domestic Sales - In October 2024, distributor license holders sold a total of 342,538 tons of LPG, which includes 48,157 tons of bottled LPG, 10,325 tons of bulk LPG, and 284,055 tons of autogas LPG.
When comparing the sales figures for October with the same month of the previous year, bottled LPG sales decreased by 1.22%, bulk LPG sales decreased by 10.56%, and autogas sales decreased by 2.75%, resulting in an overall LPG sales decline of 2.79%.
In October 2024, the market shares were as follows: bottled LPG at 14.06%, bulk LPG at 3.01%, and autogas at 82.93%. Distributor license holders sold 4,384 tons of Standardized LPG in October 2024.
