Bitumen Production Increased by 13.74% in October

In October, Turkey's bitumen production increased by 13.74% compared to the same month last year. According to a report released by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), a total of 272,552 tons of bitumen was produced in October, all at Tüpraş (IS:TUPRS) refineries. In the same month last year, the production amount was 239,627 tons.

From Tüpraş refineries, production included 104,911 tons in İzmit, 58,672 tons in İzmir, 66,527 tons in Kırıkkale, and 42,441 tons in Batman.

Bitumen can be used as a binder in asphalt for roads, runways, parking lots, and sidewalks, as well as a roofing and insulation material in buildings.
