Bolat Travels to Skopje to Attend Turkey-North Macedonia Business Forum
Today, the Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, traveled to Skopje to participate in the Turkey-North Macedonia Business Forum and to hold official meetings.
Speaking on X, Bolat stated: "We are in Skopje, with which we have deep-rooted ties, to participate in the Turkey-North Macedonia Business Forum and to hold official meetings.
As part of our visit, we met with Mr. Timcho Mucunski, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia. During our meeting, we agreed to expand the scope of the existing Free Trade Agreement.
We aim to increase our bilateral trade volume and mutual investments with North Macedonia, which we see as one of our significant partners in the Balkans. In this context, our contracting companies, which possess substantial international experience, are eager to participate in infrastructure and development projects related to the EU's growth plan for the Western Balkans.
Turkey is also ready to deepen cooperation with North Macedonia in areas concerning the defense industry, customs digitalization, and other matters that closely affect our business communities."
