The Date for the Third Meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission is Set

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its third meeting on Thursday, December 19, at 11:30 AM to determine the minimum wage amount for 2025. Discussions are ongoing under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. The second meeting took place on Monday, December 16.

Ramazan Ağar, Vice President of Türk-İş, stated in evaluations after the meeting that he does not expect the process to be prolonged. Despite the different demands from both workers and employers in the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, the decision made by the commission will be binding. Therefore, the wage determined at the conclusion of the meetings will be valid for all parties involved.

The third meeting is expected to address figures regarding the minimum wage increase. Following this week's meeting, it is highly likely that the date for the fourth meeting will be set soon, and the minimum wage amount that will be valid in 2025 will be determined within the next week.
