Which Stocks Gained the Most on Borsa Istanbul Today?
The BIST 100 index reversed its initially declining trend during the day, turning upward towards the last hour due to incoming purchases.
Starting the day above 10,000 points, the BIST 100 index dropped to the 9,930 points range during the morning session, finding support at this level for most of the day. As the day progressed, the index rose half a point, moving to the 10,040 points range thanks to the support it found at the lower level. During this time, BIST 30 stocks saw more appreciation, while the non-BIST 100 index remained on a downward trend of approximately 0.2%.
As the last hour approached, increased demand in the construction, transportation, and banking sectors provided a partial recovery in the index, while sports, paper, and cement indices remained among the biggest decliners. The top five stocks gaining the most in the BIST 100 towards the close were:
- AKSA
- BERA
- HALKB
- ENKAI
- OBAMS
Conversely, the five stocks that declined the most in the BIST 100 were:
- ENERY
- FENER
- AGROT
- KLSER
- BJKAS
In the broader Istanbul Stock Exchange, KENT, PEHOL, and TURGG shares were among the top gainers. CGCAM, which started trading today, also reached its ceiling price, joining the list of top gainers. In the last hour, GSDDE, ETILR, and EMNIS shares were noted as the biggest decliners.
In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL continued to rise by 0.1%, trading near the 35 level. Euro/TL increased by 0.15% during the evening, reaching 36.79, while the price of gold decreased by nearly half a point to 2,970 TL.
In foreign markets, Asian indices closed the day with a downward trend, and a similar outlook is seen in European stock markets as well. US indices started the day with a decline of nearly half a point. While a downward trend is observed in global equity markets, BIST 100 has been noted to have a partial positive differentiation.
