Vortexa: Iran's Crude Oil Exports to China Disrupted by Extensive U.S. Sanctions

According to Vortexa Ltd, Iran's crude oil exports to China have been disrupted due to broader U.S. sanctions imposed on tankers, tightening the flow of oil to its most significant customer. Senior market analyst Emma Li noted that after disruptions in some shipments in October, certain cargoes scheduled for November went undelivered. Vortexa reports that there are at least 191 Very Large Crude Carriers on the U.S. sanctions list. Li stated, "The recent sanctions on tankers by the U.S. have led to a slowdown of Iranian vessels calling at Shandong ports, as Chinese buyers are increasingly demanding deliveries using non-sanctioned vessels."
