Hotel Occupancy Rates Increased in October

In October 2024, the occupancy rate in enterprises and simple accommodation facilities was higher than the same month last year. According to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the occupancy rate in October was 61.67%. In the same month last year, the rate was 57.99%.

The number of overnight stays was reported as 23,538,726. In the same month last year, the number of overnight stays was 21,858,050. Out of these overnight stays, 17,466,959 were from foreign visitors, while 6,071,767 were from domestic visitors.

The total number of people visiting the facilities was 8,642,386, with 5,385,769 being foreign and 3,256,617 being domestic. In the corresponding month last year, 7,838,230 people entered the facilities.

In contrast to other data, the length of stay for visitors decreased in October compared to the same period last year. The length of stay last October was 2.79 days, which dropped to 2.72 days this October. Foreigners' length of stay decreased from 3.39 days to 3.24 days, while the length of stay for domestic visitors remained stable at 1.86 days.

  In the first 10 months of the year, the occupancy rate was 54.87%.
  During this period, the total number of visitors was 73,618,511, and the number of overnight stays reached 195,378,890.
  The average length of stay was determined to be 3.22 days for foreigners, 1.97 days for locals, and a total of 2.65 days.
