BIST 100 Kicks Off the Day Above 10,000 Points: Which Stocks Are in the Spotlight at Opening?

The BIST 100 started the last trading day of the week with a 1.29% increase, at 10,063.70 points. The BIST 100 index recorded a 0.50% increase in yesterday's transactions, closing the day at 9,935.96 points. During the day, the index saw a low of 9,849.47 points and reached a high of 9,965.51 points. With the rise at the opening, the dollar price of the BIST 100 approached $290. The trading volume of the index was 82.4 billion TL, constituting 69.64% of the total volume.

As the last trading day of the week began positively, banks became one of the leading sectors with a 3.41% rise at the opening. Factoring was the most sought-after sector in the initial transactions, with a value increase reaching 6%. Currently, aside from the sports index, there are no sectors in the negative at Borsa Istanbul. Following the positive opening of over 1%, the BIST 100 index slightly pulled back below the 1% gain and edged towards the 10,000-point threshold.

The stocks with the highest declines at the start of the day in the BIST 100 are listed as follows:

  • ALTNY

In general, GLBMD, QNBFK, and DOBUR stood out with their increases at Borsa Istanbul. DURDO, BALAT, and GSRAY were the stocks that declined the most at the opening.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL started the day with a 0.35% rise at 37.8. Euro/TL traded with a 0.1% increase at 34.79, while the gram gold saw a 0.25% decrease, resting at 2,950 TL.

Abroad, Asian indices, excluding Japan and South Korea, are closing the week positively. European indices closed positively yesterday, while the US moved with a selling trend. In the morning hours, US futures remained flat, while European futures showed a mixed outlook with a slight negative trend in the FTSE 100 and Euro Stoxx 50.
