MKK Profit Index Declines Over 9-Month Period, While Revenue Index Soars

According to the data collected by the Central Registry Agency (MKK) based on financial information disclosed by companies listed on Borsa İstanbul A.Ş. on the Public Disclosure Platform, the MKK Profit and MKK Revenue Indices for the third quarter of 2024, along with Periodic Financial Ratios and Average Financial Ratios from 2016 to 2024, have been published on the Data Analysis Platform (VAP).

As per MKK data, the MKK Profit Index decreased by 17.19% compared to the previous period and by 18.77% when compared to the same period last year. This index is calculated based on the financial disclosures made by companies trading on Borsa İstanbul.

On the other hand, the MKK Revenue Index increased by 10.47% compared to the previous period and showed a significant increase of 85.11% compared to the same period last year. The indices are calculated based on nominal values using the total annual profit and revenue figures from the previous quarters.

The next indices are set to be published in March 2025.

The Central Registry Agency also published the pages for Periodic Financial Ratios and Average Financial Ratios from 2016 to 2024 to diversify financial indicators and increase the variety of data available to investors. These pages include 30 financial ratios and five exchange ratios comparing assets, liabilities, equity, period profit, and revenue items.

The indices calculated based on the profit and revenue values at the time of the companies' financial report publication provide important data that can also be utilized in academic studies. The indices and financial ratios containing the 12-month financial report data for 2024 will be announced on March 25, 2025, which is the 10th business day following the last submission date of the consolidated financial reports to the Public Disclosure Platform. This announcement aims to provide reference indicators for capital markets and new information for economic actors.
