Foreign Residents Make Stock Purchases
Forex - Foreign entities made a net purchase of 280 million dollars in equities, adjusted for market price and exchange rate movements, during the week of November 29. According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), net purchases of government bonds (direct purchase) during the same week totaled 610.2 million dollars. Foreign entities' net sales of government bonds (reverse repo) were 345.7 million dollars, while net purchases of government bonds (collateral) reached 549.7 million dollars. No transactions were conducted for government bonds (lending), while net purchases of corporate bonds amounted to 16.4 million dollars.
- Stock Data The market value of equity stocks held by foreign entities stood at 33 billion 100.2 million dollars. Government bond (direct purchase) stocks were at 17 billion 909.1 million dollars, reverse repo bond stocks were at 1 billion 825.2 million dollars, and collateral bond stocks reached 8 billion 98.7 million dollars. Exports from sectors outside of general government were reported at 393.5 million dollars.
