TSMC in Talks with Nvidia to Manufacture AI Chips in Arizona

Forex - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co stated that it is in discussions with Nvidia Corp to manufacture Blackwell artificial intelligence chips at the foundry's new facility in Arizona. Sources indicated that TSMC is already making preparations to begin production early next year. The Blackwell chips, introduced by Nvidia in March, have been produced so far at TSMC's facilities in Taiwan. The company has reported strong demand from customers interested in generative AI and accelerated computing for the chips, which it claims are 30 times faster for tasks such as providing answers from chatbots.
