Following Gasoline, Diesel Prices Set for a Decrease

Fuel prices in Turkey are set to see consecutive reductions. Following the 97 kuruş decrease applied to gasoline yesterday, attention has now shifted to diesel prices. According to industry sources, a 97 kuruş reduction in diesel prices will also take effect starting tomorrow.

Recent fluctuations in international oil markets and changes in exchange rates are among the primary factors influencing fuel prices. This positive trend, initiated by the 97 kuruş reduction in gasoline, is expected to continue with the anticipated decrease in diesel prices. The new pump prices will be reshaped by the discount applied to diesel, and the amount saved will be effective from tomorrow.

The public is expecting further reductions. There is much curiosity about whether the fuel price cuts will be long-lasting. Consumers are calling for lower gasoline and diesel prices. Experts emphasize that global fluctuations in oil prices and movements in exchange rates directly affect fuel prices in Turkey.

The recent downward trend in prices has been welcomed and is considered a positive development.

Current fuel prices as of December 5th are another point of keen interest for consumers in Turkey's major cities. In Istanbul's European side, gasoline is priced at 42.09 TL per liter, diesel at 44.12 TL, and LPG at 25.54 TL. In Ankara, gasoline is 42.54 TL per liter, diesel is 44.76 TL, and LPG is 26.04 TL. Meanwhile, in Izmir, gasoline is 43.00 TL per liter, diesel is 45.26 TL, and LPG is priced at 25.89 TL.

These price changes are influenced by modifications in the international crude oil markets and currency exchange rates. Consumers hope for these price fluctuations to stabilize at more reasonable levels.
