BIST 100 Kicks Off the Day with Gains: Which Stocks Stand Out at Opening?
The BIST 100 started the day at 9,912.17 points, up 0.26%. While the positive trend continues on Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 recorded a 0.6% increase in yesterday's trading and closed the day at 9,886.05 points. The index, which saw a low of 9,853.09 and a high of 9,940.31 during the day, also rose to 284.49 USD in dollar terms.
Yesterday, 55 stocks rose, while 42 stocks declined in the BIST 100. The daily trading volume of the index remained high at 103.6 billion TL, which constituted 75% of the total volume. As the index maintained a slight positive trend in the early trades, the sectors that saw the most gains were food, textiles, and paper. In the first hour, communication was the only sector that remained in negative territory with a decline in the 2% range. Banks continued their positive trend with a half-point increase at the opening.

Current situation in the domestic and foreign currency markets: Domestically, the dollar/TL is trading at 34.74 after a 0.37% increase, while the euro/TL is around 36.58, showing a nearly 0.2% value increase. Gram gold is trading flat at 2,957 TL in the morning hours.
Abroad, a mixed outlook is observed at the close of Asian markets. The uncertain situation in South Korea led the KOSPI index to a nearly 1% decline, while Chinese indices are showing mixed trends. Yesterday, the main US indices closed positively, but US futures are seen trading in negative territory in the morning hours. There is also a mixed outlook in Europe, with DAX futures in the pre-market trading down, while CAC 40, FTSE 100, and Euro Stoxx 50 are slightly up.
