German Baerbock Does Not Rule Out the Possibility of Sending Troops to Ukraine
Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock did not rule out the possibility of deploying German soldiers to Ukraine as part of any future ceasefire agreement. Speaking before a NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels to discuss the war in Ukraine, Baerbock stated that "the German side will support anything that serves peace in the future" and added that it would do so "with all its strength." In recent weeks, the arrival of thousands of North Korean soldiers in Ukraine has reignited discussions on whether European allies would send troops to assist the Kiev forces in countering Russia and its allies as part of a coordinated peace agreement.
