The New Era President of m-TOD is Turkcell GM Dr. Ali Taha Koç

Foreks - The new Chairman of the Mobile Telecommunications Operators Association (m-TOD), which is chaired annually on a rotational basis by Turkcell (IS:TCELL), Türk Telekom (IS:TTKOM), and Vodafone (LON:VOD), is Dr. Ali Taha Koç, General Manager of Turkcell.

Speaking after the Association's 2024 Ordinary General Assembly, Koç stated, “We have a responsibility to strengthen our country's position in the era of global digital transformation while fully addressing the communication technology needs of our people. Our goal is to enhance collaboration within the technology ecosystem, making the relationships among all components of our industry stronger.”

Established in 2016 with the aim of achieving digital transformation in line with the requirements of the era in the field of mobile communication, m-TOD experienced a transition of leadership. At the 2024 Ordinary General Assembly of the Association, Dr. Ali Taha Koç took over the presidency from Engin Aksoy, CEO of Vodafone Turkey.

“Our goal is to make Turkey a center of attraction in the global technology ecosystem,” Dr. Ali Taha Koç emphasized that telecommunications technologies, especially mobile communications, are not only shaping today but are also continuing to design the future of the digital age. He added, “As leading actors in the Turkish telecommunications sector, we have a responsibility to strengthen our country's position in the global digital transformation era while fully addressing the communication technology needs of our people. As an association, our goal is to enhance collaboration in the technology ecosystem and strengthen relationships among all components of our industry. I express my happiness in taking on the presidency of m-TOD and I thank Mr. Engin Aksoy for his valuable contributions in the previous term.”

Founded in 2016 to contribute to Turkey’s journey as an information society, the Mobile Telecommunications Operators Association, chaired annually on a rotational basis by Turkcell, Türk Telekom, and Vodafone, has been undertaking significant projects since 2016 to position Turkey as a pioneer, innovative, and leading nation in mobile communication technologies, contributing to digital transformation in all areas and the country’s journey toward becoming an information society through sustainable projects.
