Foreks - Pınar Labne, which first introduced consumers to the taste of cream cheese in 1984, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. With a focus on health, quality, and innovation, Pınar Süt exported Pınar Labne, the first and original cream cheese of Turkey, in 1984, introducing it to the Turkish market in 1985. In 2023, Pınar Labne was exported to a total of 29 countries and today offers consumers varieties including Plain, Organic, Chocolate, Lactose-Free, Garlic & Chive, and Sun-Dried Tomato.
As the Market Leader in Cream Cheese, Pınar Labne is Consumed in 20 out of Every 100 Homes. Pınar Süt Marketing Director Serpil Veral noted that Turkey was introduced to Pınar Labne thanks to the visionary perspective of the late Selçuk Yaşar and his belief in innovation. In 2023, Pınar Labne leads the cream cheese market with a 27% revenue share, reaching a market size of 17,000 tons, with Pınar Labne consumed in 20 out of every 100 homes.
Veral also mentioned that Pınar Labne can be consumed in various forms, whether at breakfast or in dishes and desserts, and many chefs prefer Pınar Labne in their special recipes. She stated: “As Pınar, we developed a recipe for a dairy product that was sold as an open delicatessen in some Middle Eastern countries in 1984, thanks to the extensive efforts of our R&D department, naming it ‘Labne’ and introducing it first in Gulf countries and then to Turkish consumers. We created the concept of ‘Turkish Labneh’ in the Middle East and Gulf countries. With years of experience, Pınar Labne has set the standards for cream cheese in Turkey with its taste and consistency. Our production and quality standards, maintained for 40 years, along with our product performance, have earned us the appreciation of our consumers. Pınar Labne is also the star of many recipes. Besides breakfasts, it plays an important supportive role in kitchens by enhancing recipes. It finds widespread use in appetizers, salads, and canapés, and is recommended by doctors for infants’ nutrition as well as for adults and children. Thanks to our R&D efforts, we first added Chocolate and Organic varieties to the original flavor we have been consumers' first choice for years. Following that, especially for our 40th anniversary, we introduced Lactose-Free, Garlic & Chive, and Sun-Dried Tomato varieties to the Turkish market. As Pınar Süt, we will continue to introduce innovations in the field of dairy products and bring our flavors to the world.”
