Istanbul Stock Exchange Kicks Off the Day on a Positive Note: Which Stocks Stood Out at the Opening?
The BIST 100 index started the day with a 0.32% increase at 9,858.69 points.
In yesterday's trading, the index closed with a 1.51% increase at 9,827.23 points, showing positive movement. Throughout the session, the BIST 100 reached a low of 9,661.11 and a high of 9,885.80 points, currently standing at around $282.89 in currency terms.
By the end of the day, 61 out of the sectoral and national indices on the exchange showed an increase, while 4 experienced a decline. Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 62 gained value, whereas 35 closed the day with a loss. In terms of trading volume, the total volume of BIST 100 stocks amounted to 108.7 billion TL, which is above average. This trading volume constituted 75.12% of the total trading volume of the exchange.
Notable stocks at the opening of the BIST included construction, insurance, and transportation, which were among the sectors that rose the most in early trading. No sector remained in the negative at the opening, while the least demanded sectors included trade, paper, and communication.

In the overall market, the stocks that rose the most in the first hour were BINBN, YAYLA, and ISGSY, while the most significant decliners were recorded as IHEVA, IHYAY, and IHLAS.
Current state of the domestic currency market and global stock markets: In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL increased by 0.15%, starting to trade at 34.76. The Euro/TL remained stable at 36.55. Gold per gram continues to trade at 2,958 TL, showing a flat trend.
In international markets, Asian markets followed a mixed trend, while European markets and major indices in the U.S., excluding the Dow Jones index, showed a positive outlook yesterday. As of this morning, U.S. futures are moving positively, while European futures are trading in the negative.
