Qatar to Invest £1 Billion in Climate Technology in the UK
The UK government announced that Qatar will invest £1 billion in climate technology in the United Kingdom, with part of the funding benefiting engineering company Rolls-Royce to support energy transformation. The announcement was made during the two-day official visit of Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to England, where he is expected to meet Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The government stated that the investment is expected to create thousands of jobs and establish climate technology centers in both countries to accelerate the development of climate-friendly technologies.
