Erdemir's Tin Anode Casting Facility Project Receives "No Environmental Impact Assessment Required" Decision
A decision of "No Environmental Impact Assessment Required" has been issued regarding the tin anode casting plant project planned by Ereğli Demir ve Çelik.
In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection, the following information was provided:
"The PTD file submitted to our Ministry concerning the project for the No. 5 Coke Battery, New Sinter Plant, 2nd Cold Rolling Mill New Hydrogen Facility, and 1st Cold Rolling Mill Tin Anode Casting Plant, planned by Ereğli Iron and Steel Factories Inc. at parcels 1475, 7, 14, 15, and 16 in the Karadeniz Ereğli district of Zonguldak province, has been reviewed and evaluated. In accordance with Article 17 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation, it has been determined by our Governorship that ‘An Environmental Impact Assessment is not Required’ for the project.”
