Bolat: We Are Determined to Take New Steps to Diversify Our Collaboration Areas with Iraq

The Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat met with the Iraqi Minister of Trade, Mr. Atheer Dawood Salman al-Ghurairi, and his delegation within the framework of the First Session of the Joint Economic Trade Committee (JETCO).

In his statement, Bolat said, "During our visits to Baghdad and Basra two weeks ago, we discussed the steps to be taken regarding trade, economy, investment, contracting activities, the Great Favor Port, and the Development Road Project. Today, we addressed both the topics we discussed during our Baghdad visit and the common steps we can take within the framework of the JETCO Protocol with my counterpart al-Ghurairi and his delegation here at DEIK."

Pointing out that Turkey and Iraq have a strong partnership, particularly in the fields of economy and trade, Bolat stated, "We are determined to take new steps to further develop this partnership and diversify our areas of cooperation."
