Car and Light Commercial Vehicle Market Grows by 5.3% in November

According to the data announced by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), the automotive and light commercial vehicle market in November 2024 increased by 5.3% compared to November 2023, reaching 121,094 units. Vehicle sales in November saw an increase of 3.5% year-on-year, totaling 94,595 units, while the light commercial vehicle market rose by 12.2% to 26,499 units.

The overall automotive and light commercial vehicle market increased by 43.7% compared to the 10-year average sales figures for November. The passenger car market showed a 46.5% increase relative to the 10-year average sales for November, while the light commercial vehicle market grew by 34.7%.

• January-November Period - In the January-November 2024 period, Turkey's total automotive and light commercial vehicle market decreased by 0.5% compared to the same period the previous year, totaling 1,068,260 units. Passenger car sales saw a slight increase of 0.5% year-on-year, amounting to 845,530 units, while the light commercial vehicle market declined by 4.4% to 222,730 units.
